Comctl32.dll errors

In the last few weeks I have encountered issues on Win Xp SP1a systems where Explorer.exe crashes with the bad module being comctl32.dll. I am still trying to narrow it down. But it is happening on multiple platforms in different applications. The common factor between all of them is Windows Xp SP1a with all the current Hotfixes. Has anyone run into this yet? It’s not just local, I am hearing from others on having the same issue.
