Common Language Runtime, VB.net or C#?

What are folk’s opinons on these.

I’m deploying a number of functions for our SQL server database. So far, I am using VB.net, but I am concerned that it might prove to be a dead end, so I’m considering sharpening my C# skills (basic knowledge, nothing high-end at all).

What are folks opinions on CLR in vb.net vs C#?
