compaq proliant; anybody ever ran one?

i just bought this dual p3 500mhz proliant havent figured out what i should really do with it yet.
i put regular xp pro on it. i have 2000 server. would xp server or 2003 server be any better?
what i am really curious about is the raid. i know it but not sure how to set it up. the card is compaq array 221, standard for proliants, i think. upon boot, it says card not configured and it find neither of my two drives, so i had o connect them to the internal scsi, which does not support raid. it asked for a config disk buit i dont think it is a physical disk that needs loading is it? thanks
