Compaq Prolina 1247 Notebook Sound

I am trying to restore the sound for a Compaq prolina 1247 but am unable to locate a driver for it. I have ordered the resource disc from Compaq which is 3 disc set but they do not contain the drivers. There web site has no driver to be found on it. Do you have any ideas as to what I can do? I have no idea what kind of sound card is in the notebook is there anyway to find this out. Help Thanks
