Compatibility of Linksys Print Server with Cisco Router

I am troubleshooting with a client in US.
He is using Cisco 871W wireless router.
I am trying to configure Linksys WPS54g v2.0 print server.
I’ve assigned a static IP Address to the Print Server.
Initially when I tried to ping the print server, it replied. However, it was getting request timed out after some time.
Is there any compatibility issue between them.
