Computer Doesnt Recognize Its Been Rebooted

I install Windows update on a XP Pro computer in my domain, after the update it says it needs to reboot so I reboot the computer. Now everytime the user logs in the computer says it needs to reboot to finish installing the updates. I know I have seen a fix for this online but I cant find it anywhere.
