My computer was working fine this morning, however when I next started it up, it froze after 3 minutes. I’ve rebooted quite a few times and each time it’s the same. I didn’t click on anything particular, or anything at all for that matter, and it seems the mouse freezes first, then the keyboard, then finally the rest of the computer functions (one time the keyboard functioned for a whole 30 seconds after the mouse froze). Before that happens, though, everything works fine, however the mouse seems to temporarily freeze one second, then jump to another spot. It’ll do this for a few seconds before it freezes completely. I’m pretty sure it’s a virus, but I can’t run Windows long enough to run a virus scan, and safe mode freezes as well. My backup C: was also affected, and I’ve run out of ideas.
Any thoughts or suggestions before I reformat?
