Computer freezes on startup

Yeah so when my computer is booting and I press a key on my keyboard to lets say access the boot menu my computer freezes and I need to reboot, sometimes I replug the CMOS battery in my motherboard and it works and my computer doesnt freeze but the problem is that it doesnt work all the time. Im thankful for solutions.
