Computer Shutting Down

I loaded Dragon Speaks on to my laptop. When I try to adapt new language, a process that takes over 3 hours, my computer shuts down. I’m using Windows XP, have 79.9GB of space…I don’t know what could be wrong.

Any suggestions?????
