Today I attempted to upgrade a custom built celeron 400 sys. to a AMD Athlon 950mhz. I upgraded the motherboard, processor, case, and memory. The system is running WIN98 SE (Upgrade edition), the motherboard is a K7SEM w/ on board video, ethernet, sound, & modem. After I installed all the drivers for the upgraded motherboard etc., I still was not getting a network connection over the LAN w/ a WINNT server. I couldn’t connect to it, and there was no activity from it. It connected for a short time when I first installed the drivers, but after I finished installing the drivers and restarted, it lost its connection and won’t reconnect. Could it be a problem w/ the WIN98 SE upgrade? All the drivers for the ethernet, motherboard, etc. are installed… is there something that I might be forgetting to configure?? Any ideas on why it isn’t working?? Everything else seems to work fine…
