Computer won”t boot after trying to install SP3

I tried to install SP3 on a Sony VAIO desktop running XP Media edition. My anti-virus software was running during the install (AVG 8.0). The computer froze. I turned it off and now when I turn it on I have a blank screen and I don’t hear any beeps. I can not enter the BIOS. Please help.
