configure notebook for home & work

I brought my notebook to office and I installed the proxy software and configure it to be networked with our local area network. I can connect to the internet while connected thru our network. I tried to connect to the internet thru my notebook modem and it fails. I tried to unistall the proxy from my notebook and I can connect with no problem to the internet thru the modem of my notebook. I want to configure my notebook to work both properly from home (DUS)and at work (proxy). Please help, thank you very much.
