Configure VPN – Netgear VPN Routers – I can map and browse, but..

I’ve configured the Netgear Boxes as VPN Routers. I used the built in VPN Wizards.
The Routers successfully make a VPN connection immediately.
From the Remote XP Box, I can ping the server (192.168.10.10).
From the Server, I can ping the remote XP Box(192.168.20.100).

But, from the remote XP Box I can Map drives to shared folders and brows and generally access the server and open docs, but can’t save changes or create folders, etc. My login accounts on the server have full control rights of the folders I am accessing, but still nothing. I do have success when I login as Admin to server.

I thought once the routers made a successful VPN connection, the remote xp box worked as though it was in the network with all access and rights thereof.
As though it were connected to the office network with a really long network cable.
Is this thinking wrong? If not, what might I being doing wrong.
Could the server be rejecting any IP’s that are not in its normal range 192.168.10.xxx?
