Configure wirelan + adsl problem

by abubin . Updated 22 years, 1 month ago

Hi,

I have an ADSL modem router that can dial-up to my adsl line. I have configured that to work no problem. But that is only using direct connect to a PC.

I now added a new Wireless Broadband router with 4-port LAN.

Both the adsl modem and the wireless broadband have router features like dhcp, dns, firewall, port handling and so on.

I would like to configure all devices to connect to this Wireless Broadband Router (laptops and desktops) to access internet. The Wireless Broadband Router will directly connect to adsl modem. FYI, I am using PPPoA LLC.

My problem is, I can’t seems to figure out how to connect the Wireless Broadband Router to the ADSL router. I am connecting the LAN output from ADSL router to the WAN port in the broadband router. That should be correct.

Should I switch the adsl router to bridge mode? What is bridge mode exactly?

Thanks in advance.
