Configuring my NICs

by shawn . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

Ok, first – I apologize if my questions have been asked and answered by someone else, although I’ve looked and looked and couldn’t quite find what I was looking for.

Server 2K3 is set up as local domain (company.local). Machine has 2 NICs. #1 is receiving IP from my cable modem. I’ve set up 2K3 as a DHCP server (scoped as 10.10.xx.xx addy’s) and intend to have my other PCs on the domain and travel through the server for files/printing and to reach outside. I want to hook my wireless router to NIC #2 in order to grab the 10.10’s. How do I configure NIC #2 to actually issue the IP addresses to the router (DHCP has been turned off @ the router btw) so that when plugged into the router, clients can get outside??? Also, is it possible to control multiple NICs in one machine to assign “outgoing” or “incoming” connections?

Thanks for the help!
