I needed to move my wireless router more to the center of the house so I purchased a new router and am running a cat 5 cable to the old wireless router’s new location.
CABLE<->Router1<->WAP
Now, the WAP is actually a router which I’m just wanting to use as a WAP. I moved the DHCP function to Router1 and connected Router1 to WAP thru a “normal” (not internet) port on the WAP.
It works and I can access the internet wirelessly…
The problem I have is that I cant figure out the IP address of the WAP so I can access the security features of the WAP (add new devices, change WEP password, …).
How can I “talk” to the WAP? I was sure I changed it’s IP to 192.168.1.2 (from 192.168.1.1) but I cant “see” it from my browser (http://192.168.1.2)
Ideas?
