Connect to the Domain Controller

I have installed and upgrated a computer as a Domain Controller windows Server 2003.( Server)
Now I want to connect my winXP professional computer to connect the server as a domain user. I created a user1 as the user name in server and computer1 as the computer in the server. Is there any specific folder that I should create those in the server? Anyway I can ping the both computers with successfully.
Now let me know the way to connect XP computer to logon to the server as a domain user. Thank you.
