Connect to the internet and Local Area Network

I’m trying to Connect to the internet and Local Area Network with switch but if a want to use internet I have to use automatic IP address but then I cannot see my network computers, if I enter IP address manually i can see my network computers but then a cannot access the internet. The switch is SMC-EZ6508TX, and the DSL modem Motorola SB5101E.
