Connect VB exe to remote Oracle DB

My requirement: I have Oracle 10g server and VB application on seperate machines. The VB app machine does not have oracle client.

I have tried “OraOLEDB.Oracle.1” and “Microsoft ODBC for Oracle”, however I am unable to connect.

Please help me connect to the Db on other server throught the VB exe.
