Connect XP machine to 2003 server via ethernet card

Hello,

Is it possible to connect XP machine as cleint directly to 2003 server. I am doing it so i can set up a domain and user Win Xp as a client inorder to set up a small network for training puproses (MCSE)
If so.. what i have to Do
