Connecting Cisco Router(1700) to parallel port

Hi guys,

Can any one of you help me in connecting cisco router to my laptop’s parallel port?

I got parallel(25pin) to serial(9pin) port converter to connect laptop’s parallel port with cisco blue console cable. But I am not able to connect.

Can any one of you explain solution to this in detail?
