I did some searches on this topic before, but the solutions I found there were not helpful (http://tinyurl.com/ykxuele, http://tinyurl.com/y9qomwk). I tried different combinations, but they did not work.
I am trying to connect to my office’s VPN (PPTP) using the D-Link Dir-655 router. I can get a working connection when I connect my computer directly to the internet modem, but when I use the router it connects ok, but when I try to open up a page in Safari nothing happens. I also cannot connect to the servers at work. All this does work when I plugin directly into the modem, but that takes all the other computers off of the network.
I would appreciate some help. The IT department at my work isn’t that helping.
