Connecting to a wireless network and a LAN at the same time

by mrpunjab . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

We have an old Xerox DocuCentre printer which we have moved to the warehouse section to use primarily as copier. At certain times when the Directors have meetings in the showroom they want to print from that printer as rest of them are on the office level. Now this Xerox is not near any Network port.

I was given the task to connect this printer with a spare wireless router so that they can print with their Laptop’s which have wireless capabilities.

I have a few issues while doing it:

1. The Laptop’s will be connected to a LAN while they will try printing through wireless N/W. I can’t seem to make both the networks work together. LAN has a DHCP server. As soon as the ethernet cable is plugged in the wireless connection losses the connection.

Anyone out there who can help????
