Connections not appearing

My main internet connection ( Local Area Connection 4 ) does not appear in ” Network Connections ” but my other LAN connections do . i still got my functions obviously because i can go on the net , and it appears in ipconfig 2 . but why doesnt it appear in Network Connections . thanks
