Connectivity and UserInit.exe

by hugo131313 . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

I’ve been having a problem with my connection lately. My cable modem will run for a few hours and then cut out. A reinstall allows it to work for a few hours again before it cuts out yet again…Rinse and repeat. Insight suggested downloading more Anti-Spyware…But even after running all that and Avast, I’m still having problems. However, I remembered that not long after I got the Cable Modem that, upon Windows booting up, explorer would not run. Instead, a window reading “C:\WINDOWS\System32\UserInit.exe” pops up. I generally close it down and run TaskManager to get Explorer started (sometimes Task Manager will take 10 minutes before popping up after Ctrl+Alt+Del is pressed). I don’t know if that could be affecting the connection. Any help is greatly appreciated.
