Connectivity Issues

Hello All,
I’m trying to connect to a SQL server 2000 database using a VB6 application. The connection string i’m using is allowing me to connect to an existing database; it’s updating the log table but it just won’t connect to my database. Has anyone ever encountered this issue? Any ideas how I may troubleshoot this issue?
