Conneting 3com 3300 switch

I expanded my network to a new building about 60meters away. The main building has a Superstack II 3300 switch with 2 3com Dual speed baseline hub working perfectly.
The new building also have a 3com Superstack 3 3300 switch and 2 d 3com dual speed baselin hub. I link the two switch through a cat 5e cross-wired cable since all port are MDIX. It will not communicate rather at the superstack 3, it bflash green light. With the same wire I connected from a hub in the main building to the new switch and it worked. can anybody help on what have I done wrong that prevented the two switch from communicating directly.
