Copying a Cisco 3500XL config.text file

Hello all,

I have been looking around for sometime online as to how to copy the config.text file from an older 3500XL and load it onto a newer one so that I don’t have to go through all of the setup.

What I have done so far is download a tftp server onto my laptop and retrieved the file from the old switch using that. Now I’m consoled into the newer one and when I try to run “copy tftp running-config” or “copy tftp flash:config.text” is get an error message stating that there was an error opening tftp://blahblahblah and then

Is there anything that I should be doing?
