Copying data from HD of broken laptop

Hi,

I have the HD of a broken laptop (was running XP Pro). I removed the HD from the old latop, plugged it into a USB enclosure and plugged the enclosure into my other laptop (also runs XP Pro). The User Ids on the two laptops are different.

My laptop sees the HD from the first laptop and I can get to certain folders. However, when I try to open any folder under the User folder, I get an Access Denied message.

How can I fix this and access the data? Thanks in advance.
