Copying files from laptop to PC/Server

I have a laptop with 20 GB of data that I need to copy over to a lab environment PC. I have heard of the term Ghosting to quickly and efficiently transfer the files. I will also need to copy another few hundred GB of files from PC to PC later in the near future. What is a good software to quickly and easily transfer all of these files? I have heard of Norton Ghost 10 and Acronis True Image 11. Do these do what I want, and is one better than the other?
