CPU 100% busy , system not responding

My problem is with a W2000 server,it stops responding (hangs up), when I check the system management there is a process (SERVICES.EXE)using 100% of the cpu processor, it only starts responding after restarting the server but after a while it happens again (hangs up) any idea of whta is the problem? thanks for your help
