Cursor on mid 2010 15″i5MacBook Pro

I have a mid 2010 15″ 15 MacBook Pro (A1286) that has a cursor that dances around and I can’t control it at times. It opens apps and creates files without me actually doing it. And it also closes apps without me doing it.
