cursor problem.

I have been experiencing cursor jumping around when typing on words, notepad,wordpad, email MSoutlook and lotus. This has been happening in win98,winme,2000 and NT. I cannot eliminate hardware as I am expriencing this problem on Dell laptop and Sony laptop.Compaq PC.etc.
