Cyrus, Imap Sendmail Help

I am trying to setup a cyrus imap server on a centos 5.5 64bit. I have cyrus installed and want it to authenticate using sasl through pam against a mysql database. I am ready to lose my mind and have been chasing my tail for the last couple of days. I would appreciate it if anyone has any expertise in this if they could look at a few config file and maybe point me in some sort of a direction
