Hey all.
I’m having a very annoying problem that I’m hoping can be resolved with a “doh – do it this way” response.
I’m connected to the Internet via a Dlink WBR-1310 wireless router (4 ports). I have 6 computers that need connecting so I took a auto-sensing switch and added it to one of the ports.
The computers that are connected directly to the DLink work fine but the switch (it’s a brand new switch that I replaced after having a defective one) computers only show up sporadically, thus keeping them off the Internet.
It *is* sporadic. I’ve been using this switch without a single problem with the past week – and it worked fine earlier today – but when I just tried to use one of the computers, it has lost its connection.
I have switched the port it is connected to numerous times without any luck.
Other background: the D-Link router is the only item using DHCP.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
