Darwin streaming server live on Linux

I have installed Darwin streaming server 5.5.5 on debian lenny, have configured it, binded it to a ip and the video on demand delivery works great but I cant get the live to work. I tried to publish the sdp file over quick time broadcaster and over wirecast but I dont get any activity on server or a error message from the encoders. Perhaps a firewall problem? I have all the standard rtsp and streaming ports opened (80,554,7070) and 5432 and 5434 udp and tcp streaming?
