Data Consistency and IBM Metro Mirror

I have a situation of dependent write volumes which are spread across various LSS/LCUs on a DS8000.

And now planning to configure Metro Mirror solution to another DS8000.

However i am still confused to use consistency group or not ?

Even if i configure CG on paths or LSS level, i dont have any automation tool like TPC or GDPS to freeze/unfreeze automatically when volumes go into extended busy state….

Is there any possibility to integrate messages coming from DS8K to any SNMP trap receiver destination ( like Netview or TEC) and execute freeze/unfreeze automatically???

Is there any benifit of using CG without any automation tool to gaurentee data consistency at secondary site?
