Data Trouble

I have an old machine that is running DOS 3.30. There are some files that I createed using a program called Professional Write. I want to view the files I created with Professional Write using Office Word 2000. I am not sure if I can do this or ifI am able to what are the steps I need to take to view the files. I would hold the shift button down and right click and a menu would appear with the “open with” option, I would click on that and select Word 2000 to open these files and I had success this way. I believe there is a better way to do this. Thank you for the help.
