I’ve been trying to get my XP Pro to synchronize the date & time with my DC but I can’t seem to figure it out.
1 DC in an Active Directory Domain
3 XP Pro clients connecting to DC
The system time in the XP clients are wrong but the system time in DC is correct. DC only relies to CMOS as I dont have external source of time. But clients can still log in fine. When I try to stop the Windows Time service, then offset the time in XP, then start the service again and resync, it always resync to the wrong time… Which obviously is coming from the DC, but it is not the time displayed in the System time. Now for the sake of correcting the time, I just turned off Windows Time service and manually adjusted the system time of the XP clients.
Is there a way to synchronize the time between the server and clients OR atleast an explanation to the scenario above?
