DDR better than PC-133

I have an xp2100+ system with 1 gig of pc133 – the mainboard (ECS K7S5A ver 3.1) has duel RAM slots of pc133 or DDR. I am seriously considering switching to DDR. My main tasks with the computer are graphic design, video and audio editing… Will DDR improve my performance significantly?
