I have an IBM Netfinity server leftover from a former installation.
But it’s dead.
No matter what I do, I cannot get the thing to turn on.
1) Yes, I have made sure that it’s plugged in.
2) I’ve also checked the outlet, and the power cord.3) I’ve even gone into the power supply, and made sure that the ceramic fuse is OK (there’s just the one fuse, right?) BTW: Why do they say “No user serviceable parts inside” when we all know that there’s at least one fuse inside…? Don’t answer that.
4) I’ve checked to make sure that the power-on request button is connected up.
I don’t want to involve anyone here is the typical back-and-forth of trouble shooting. I’m just hoping to find the one person who can say, “You know–the one thing you really need to look out for with a dead Netfinity server is…”
Thanks in advance.
