Default OSPF areas

by stevepocula . Updated 20 years, 5 months ago

When configuring OSPF on a router do you have to include the area in the network command or will it automatically default into area 0?
For example:

router ospf 1
network 200.1.1.1 0.0.0.0 (area 0 should go here)

Haven’t got a sim to run it on but checking to find out if there is a default.I know it wouldn’t be good practice to do this if it did.
