default pop3 virtual server

i have a exchange 2003 server but when i go to start\microsft exchange server\first administrativr group\server\protocol\pop3 a default pop3 virtual server is missing it shows
there is no item to view in the right hand side pane what to do to recover it & also i will try by installing windows server service pack1 but could not resolve the problem
