Defraging of Sequel 2000 Database

Is there a way to specifically defrag a sequel 2000 database, and is this recommended? We have several large databases, and I don’t think that regular windows 2000 server defrag would touch the database. We are experiencing some performance lag, and I would like to rule this out. Any nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
