Delayed write failed.

My xD-Picture Card for my digital camera gave the error “Delayed write failed” and now I cannot access the 20 or so pictures I’d really like to retrieve.

My reader sees the card, the first folder in the card. Before the error that was a folder inside the first folder. I cannot access that folder. My pictures are in there. I am told the data is corrupted.

How can I get around this problem?
