delete LPT1 when there is a remembered connection to another network resour

I am trying to fix my connection to the network printer. When I type net
use it says it is unavailable and is using the wrong ip address. When I
type net use lpt1 \delete is says the local device name has a remembered
connection to another network resource. HOw do I fix that?
