Delete protecting a folder

Hi,
I have a folder on my file server ( OS windows 2000). I want to make that folder and its contents non deletable. But want to give all other permissions like read write create files and all to that folder. I tried the security tab and advanced options and unchecked delete and delete folders and files options.. But the problem is that, I am not able to save files after modifying…
Any one can help me..
