Deleted USER from XP

We received a donated laptop for our organization and it is great except for existing users on the computer.

I restarted in safe mode and attempted to delete the user account with no success.

I have an additional account with ADMIN rights and I successfully deleted the user there, HOWEVER….the file and NTUSER.dat files still exist inside a folder that remains.

I have considered HIDING the file, yet I would like it gone from the laptop as I have tried to install other programs and for some reason the user name comes up in this name (as in when the file is installed it tends to want to go to the windows/username/documents…..)

Help?
