Dell Mobil Broadband Sprint 3G connection

I currently have a laptop that is totally wireless for the internet, everything is internal. I bought a Linksys broadband wireless router so my Satellite co can use my internet connection. When I went through the setup for the router it was asking for the Ethernet cable to be connected (I do not have one) so i just proceeded with the setup for the network, it successfully created the network to my pc but it cannot find my internet service? I thought it would be smart enough to find the information internally on my PC, but I thought wrong. What can i do to get this working properly?
