designing camera interface

hello everyone,
I am IT student and now got a final year project ..we intend to implement a digital camera to communicate with a personal computer through wireless technology.As an implementation, we intend to design a camera interface that uses transmitters and receivers in conjunction with USB transmission protocol to achieve wireless communication with a computer. The selected wireless solution for Wireless PC would be Bluetooth…so anyone can suggest how we can get started…what are the softwares , programming languages and applications that we can use??
